MAGPIS: Diffuse Sources (Variable Stretch)
Boxes mark diffuse sources from the MAGPIS catalog. Blue boxes
are known supernova remnants from the
Green
(2004) catalog.
This version uses a
different contrast stretch within each source box (set from the scaling
intensity given in the catalog), which is a bit weird looking but does
show some sources more clearly.
There are also more conventional versions (that use the
same gray scale inside and outside the boxes) with
a moderate contrast stretch
and a hard stretch.
